British Lion eggs are running a new competition The Eggs Factor to help 7 to 11s get creative, learn cooking skills and gain an awareness of healthy eating. There are four activity days up for grabs where pupils will get the chance to create and star in a revamped eggy advert, fifty years since the famous ‘Go to work on an egg’ ads, as well as four £100 cooking vouchers.
A curriculum-linked self-contained project and other teaching resources have been designed to go along with the competition. Entering is easy – all pupils have to do is design an egg-based meal to celebrate a loved one or special occasion and upload their recipe to the Egginfo website. The activity can be carried out in class or at home.
During the winners’ activity days pupils will get the chance to devise, film, act in and plan the production of their very own advert which will be showcased on the Egg recipes YouTube channel.
Entries close Friday 3rd July... so get cracking!
