Win £1,000 of photography equipment for your school

My Neighbourhood, a nationwide photography competition for 5 to 18 year olds from Rightmove, challenges young people to take and share photographs of a special place, person or activity in their local area. Schools entering the competition have the chance to win some fantastic prizes:

  • The first 500 schools to submit photos will win a personalised poster featuring a map of the local area with their school at the centre.
  • The six schools submitting the best photos in each of the three categories (places, people, activities) will win a £1,000 voucher to spend on photography equipment.

Some of the best entries will be featured on the Rightmove website so when people search for a new home, they can see a snapshot of what local people who live in the area really love about it.

Entries close at midnight on 19 July 2015.

Alongside the My Neighbourhood project are free, flexible, curriculum-linked resources with techniques on how to capture the perfect snap to help teachers introduce the competition to their students. The website includes assemblies, lesson plans, photo slideshows and top tips.

You can find My Neighbourhood in our resource library or you can enter at Good luck!
