We are looking for primary school teachers, pupils and parents to help test the website for the brand-new website Travel to Tokyo programme. The Travel to Tokyo challenge is a partnership between Team GB and ParalympicsGB aimed at inspiring primary school children and their families to get active. We want people to see that ‘physical activity’ is not just about sport – anyone can become more active anywhere.

We want pupils, parents and families to join us for a short interactive testing session to try out the new Travel to Tokyo website and let us know what you think!

The Travel to Tokyo website lets teachers set up class teams, which children and their families log activity to across the challenge. There are lots of opportunities to win prizes throughout as we help families to build an active habit inspired by the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

We would come into your school to run a series of shorting testing sessions with each participant in turn. Each session is fully guided and participants will be asked to complete a series of specific tasks to test different features of the site.

We would like the four pupils to be from different year groups, so we can test how the site works for different ages. We would also like four different parents/carers to take part – for ease it may be that these are parents/carers of the students taking part.

Participants may be sent a short email with a very simple task to have a quick look at the website before the session.

The testing session will last around 30 minutes for participants. We would run some sessions at the same time, so would need a classroom / appropriate space in the school for 2-3 hours at the end of the school day. We would expect to carry out testing w/c 24 June.

Where possible, participants would be asked to bring their own phone or tablet.

Each participant would receive £20 as a thank you for their time. The school would also receive £50 as a thank you for hosting the session and recruiting parents and pupils.
