We are looking for Primary School teachers in England to help develop resources for the Travel To Tokyo programme.

The Travel to Tokyo programme is a partnership between Team GB and ParalympicsGB aimed at inspiring primary school children and their families to get active. We want people to see that ‘physical activity’ is not just about sport – anyone can become more active anywhere.

The resources are:

  • 8 x Tokyo Tens – (10-minute games/activities)
  • 2 x PPTs for teachers to introduce the topic (differentiated versions for KS1 and 2 of same basic content)
  • 3 x take-home activity sheets

The content will relate to Team GB and ParalympicsGB qualifying for the 2020 Games in Tokyo. We would like teachers to review content for relevance, engagement and appeal for their pupils of different ages.

We’d especially like to hear from teachers in schools with high levels of pupil premium. You don’t need a special interest in PE or sport – Travel to Tokyo is an inclusive programme even for the least active families.

The review will be in two parts – once at an earlier stage and again at a later stage.

We estimate that reviewing will take around 2-3 hours to complete. You will be reimbursed £50 for your time at the end of the project.
