The Be Real Campaign has launched the new Body Confidence Campaign Toolkit for Schools, designed to help educators develop a whole-school approach to body image anxiety. The Toolkit includes assembly ideas, teacher training tips and student campaign materials for young people aged 11 to 16.
These new resources are launched in light of new research on body confidence from the YMCA, a founding partner of the Be Real Campaign, which found that almost a third (30%) of 11 to 16 year-olds isolate themselves because of body image anxiety. However, three quarters (76%) of students who learnt about body confidence in school said it made them feel more positive about themselves.
The Toolkit is available to all UK secondary schools to download for free at www.berealcampaign.co.uk/schools
